World of Warcraft®: Wrath of the Lich King™ Shatters Day-1 Sales Record

With more than 2.8 million copies sold in its first 24 hours, Blizzard Entertainment®’s second World of Warcraft expansion is now the fastest-selling PC game ever
IRVINE, Calif. – November 20, 2008 – Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. today announced that World of Warcraft®’s second expansion, Wrath of the Lich King™, has sold more than 2.8 million copies in its first 24 hours of availability*, making it the fastest-selling PC game of all time. This eclipses the previous record of nearly 2.4 million copies sold in 24 hours, set in January 2007 by Blizzard’s first World of Warcraft expansion, The Burning Crusade®. Wrath of the Lich King was simultaneously released in North America, Europe, Chile, Argentina, and Russia on November 13; Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand on November 14; and South Korea and the regions of Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau on November 18.

In celebration of the launch, more than 15,000 stores throughout the world had their doors open at midnight to welcome thousands of expectant players. Several of these locations were attended by Blizzard Entertainment representatives, who met players and signed copies of the game.

“We’re grateful for the incredible support that players around the world have continued to show for World of Warcraft,” said Mike Morhaime, CEO and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment. Wrath of the Lich King contains some of the best content weve created for the game so far, and we look forward to seeing even more players log in to experience it in the days ahead.”

“After a single day of availability, Wrath of the Lich King is already the bestselling PC game of 2008 at GameStop and ranks as one of our top-selling products so far this year,” said Bob McKenzie, GameStops senior vice president of merchandising. “In keeping with the tradition established by their previous releases, Blizzard Entertainment has again created a product that not only reflects their high standards of quality but is clearly an instant hit with gamers around the country.”

Prior to the launch of Wrath of the Lich King, World of Warcrafts subscriber population had grown to more than 11 million players, further strengthening its position as the world’s most popular subscription-based massively multiplayer online role-playing game. Some Of The Popular Real Time Strategy Games

It’s an age-old question that will only get more and more intense in the coming year as the Xbox 360 is in full swing and the PS3 and Revolution release. Which is better? What system is right for me? I would suggest both systems if you can possibly do it.

Computer gaming is more expensive now days so you must make the right choices in the equipment and games you select. Computer gaming is best for Real Time Strategy (RTS) games.

Others are First Person Shooters (FPS), Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games (MMORG), Flight Simulation games, and Point and Click Adventure games.

Warhammer Mark of Chaos is the eagerly awaited RTS (Real Time Strategy) game by Namco Bandai. The game is fairly simple to get used to (after about half an hour you will probably be used to most of the basic controls)

Basically, its mostly drag and click but there are some useful rotating/zooming options (all explained in the tutorial, which is a must for first-time players) and if a quick view reset is required, all you have to do is tap the Space Bar on your keyboard.

Both the Empire and the Chaos campaigns are very similar, you move along a pre-determined battle path and fight battle after battle, meet and help a besieged town, duel an enemy hero and defeat and encampment of enemies.

Ninety-Nine Nights (or as its affectionately known, N3), is the latest in a stream of action titles from Phantagram, their most famous franchise being the mix between RTS and action, Kingdom Under Fire.

Here is the most complete list that I could gather on real time strategy games. In no particular order they are: Act of War, A Force More Powerful, Age of Empires series, Age of Kings, Age of Mythology, Alien Nations, Ancient Art of War, Armies of Exigo.

Axis & Allies, Battlefield Command, Battle for Middle Earth series, Battle Realms, Battlefield 40K, Black & White, Caesar III, Close Combat series, Codename: Panzers, Command & Conquer series (one of my personal favorites), C&C Generals, Company of Heroes, Conquest: Frontier Wars, Cossacks series, Dark Planet, Dark Reign, Darwinia, Dawn of War, DefCon.

Dune, Dune 2000, Dungeon Keeper II, Earth 2150 series, Emperor: Battle for Dune, Emperor: Rise of the Middle Kingdom, Empire Earth series, Empires Mod, Europa Universalis II, Evil Genius, Field Ops, Galaxy Andromeda.

Great Empires Collection II, Ground Control series, Halo Wars, gemonia, Heaven & Hell, Heroes of Might & Magic series, Homeworld, Homeworld: Cataclysm, Homeworld 2, Immortal Cities: Children of the Nile, Imperial Glory.

Impossible Creatures and so many more I do not know if I will be able to list them all. Oh Well, there is only about one more paragraph of them left so I will continue. Wow, such a wide selection.

Others are: KKND series, Kohan series, Left Behind: Eternal Forces, Majesty, Medieval Lords, Medieval: Total War, Metal Fatigue, Myth series, Natural Selection, Mod Nexus: The Jupiter Incident, O.R.B., Outforce, The Perimeter, Pharoah, Populous series, Powermonger. Are you still with me?

This comprehensive list will give you many more ideas of what is available! More include: Railroad Tycoon series, Real War, Rise of Nations, Rise of Legends, Rome: Total War, Sacrifice Settlers III, Shattered Union, SimCity series, Soldiers: Heroes of World War II, StarCraft, Startopia, Star Trek: Armada 2 (another one of my personal favorites).

Star Wars: Empire at War, Stronghold: Crusader, Submarine Titans, Sudden Strike series, Supreme Commander, Supreme Ruler 2010, Sword of the Stars, Theatre of War, Total Annihilation, Total War Series, Tropico series, Utopia, Victoria, WarCraft series, WarCraft III, Warlords Battlecry series, War of the Ring, War on Terror.

Warrior Kings: Battles, Wartime Command, Warzone 2100, WWII: Frontline Command, Z: Steel Soldiers, Zeus: Master of Olympus. Now try saying all that three times really fast!! I hope I have not forgotten any and I also don’t think I duplicated any so there you have it, the whole list.

Using a Priest Pvp Guide to Dominate Pvp

Playing a Priest class character in World of Warcraft PvP is something of a paradox. Priest are either extremely powerful and flexible, or pathetic and weak, based on how you play them. With a wide variety of heals and vast quantities of mana, they can be difficult opponents to eliminate or defend against. But with minimal health and no armor, a smart oppontent can quickly take down a careless or unskilled Priest. To win PvP battles as a Priest requires careful preparation and a good understanding of how to hurt your enemies with indirect damage. Playing a Priest is challenging, but rewarding.

By default, Priests are the healers in any player versus player group battles. But it doesn’t have to be this way. Holy and Discipline Priests are very useful as part of arena or battleground groups, where they buff and debuff characters generally filling the classic healer role. Then there are the Shadow Priests. Armed with potent DPS (Damage Per Second) attacks, they can not only cause real harm to the enemy, but they can still do some healing for their allies. Whether your Priest provides aid and healing to your party, or kicks butt on the attack largely depends on how you spec out and play the class.

A Priest can be extremely effective against many classes – they can crowd control with Fear and dish out DoTs (Damage Over Time) spells, while at the same time, they can dispell most any spell an opponent casts. But against other classes, a Priest without the right strategies is virtually defenseless. Without the correct strategy, a Priest has no realistic chance against a Rogu, for example.

This is why a quality Priest PvP Guide is crucial. A good guide will not only give the Priest useful strategies and tactics to use against each type of opponent, it will give you a better idea of how each other class is likely to attact your Priest. A good Priest PvP Guide will also give you more than a handful of standard strategies for Priests. It should show how to take on all of the other classes in solo duels. And it should show how the Priest, in each of its three specs (Holy, Discipline, and Shadow), can best fit into a 2v2, 3v3, or 5v5 team.

Because a quality PvP Guide contains the hard-earned combat experience of Priests with a vast amount of experience, it will contain strategies and tactics that are not obvious to newer players. In short, a good PvP Guide will save you vast amounts of time and energy you would otherwise spend on trial and error.

Game Playing Services and Their Role in Multi-Player Gaming

With the rise in popularity of multi-player gaming, the internet now provides opportunities for everyone around the world to compete against each other in online games. Years back a player could merely play against a computer, being able to beat the highest level offered by a games console is no longer enough with new players participating and continuing to improve on a daily basis.

Like anything, the popularity of a service usually provokes ancillary businesses to crop up around it, offering services to give their customers an advantage through either saving them time, money or through giving them access to better skills.

Thanks to Vangaurd Saga of Heores global popularity, dozens of businesses have sprung up to offer supplementary services for game players who have neither the time nor the inclination to invest long hours of arduous study to level up and acquire gold to purchase requisite items.

Companies such as Trade4Game.com, specialize in assisting participants in Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Games, such as World of Warcraft, EVE Online, Star Wars Galaxies, Everquest, Everquest 2 and especially Vangaurd: Saga of Heores. These companies can boost players’ virtual pocketbook to purchase epic mounts and get the full spectrum of equipment needed to belong to a top Vangaurd: Saga of Heores.

With over 2,321 satisfied clients under their belt (just look through their Playeracutions feedback reviews), human-only game players, and an online staff at their customer’s beck and call, it’s no surprise that their service is attracting aficionados in both hemispheres.

What can players do once they have been powered up on Vangaurd: Saga of Heores? First, they can fight their way into some of the most prestigious guilds in the realm. Second, they can slaughter opponents in PVP combat. Third, they can go on quests armed with both the knowledge and experience necessary to succeed.

At Trade4Game.com, they provide a way to skip to the higher levels of the game. Their battle-tested and exceptionally fast staff knows all of the intricacies of Azeroth inside out, and they can turn around great characters for customer at truly affordable prices. Once customers fortified their personal army, they can advance in their faction, build their rank within their guild through player versus player combat, and take on the most extraordinary quests in the Vangaurd: Saga of Heores world with gusto.

Being able to gain the competitive advantage offered by such companies is not only popular among those that struggle to advance in the games; many players who are extremely capable also choose to take advantage of computer game services. The reasons for this are relatively apparent. Such as someone who does not have the time to move through the easy stages in the game, or even those that have found themselves at a stage which is repetitive. Whether you choose to take advantage of game services or not, one thing is for sure, your competitors certainly will! You should go and check out trade4game today, where you will be able to check out both the prices and services that they have available.

Ten World of Warcraft Leveling Secrets

World of Warcraft is perhaps one of the biggest games on the market, with over eight-million subscribers, it certainly is already the number one MMORPG (Massive Multiplayer Online Roleplaying Game), the only problem, it seems, is the amount of time it takes to get to the end of the game via leveling. So without further ado, here’s ten leveling secrets that should help you level faster than ever.

1) TitanPanel/XP per hour – This tool is invaluable for anyone trying to manage their time within World of Warcraft, the panel when configured will tell you your average xp/hour. You can then chart your progress and see how efficient you’ve become at leveling.

2) Do quests – A lot of people seem to play the game thinking the best way to level is to go out killing monsters non-stop until they reach 70, while this will work, it’s horribly inefficient, instead, queue up quests and complete them in combination with grinding.

3) Queuing quests – The benefit of queuing quests is twofold; for one, you don’t have to run from and to town turning in quests and picking up new ones, secondly, many of the quests in the same area involve killing or collecting items near the same location, queuing quests will make it easier to get all of them done in a timely manner.

4) Using your hearthstone – many people just bind their hearthstones to the largest cities in-game, this is great if you just need to check auctions or mail items, but while you’re leveling it can actually hurt your xp/hour to constantly fly in and out of these cities to your current leveling area, Instead, attempt to find an inn nearby that you can use to hearth when you complete quests, or when you want to take a break.

5) Group up for quests – All too many times you see people completing for kills of a rare mob for a specific quest, this is a horribly inefficient use of time considering the group system was put in place to allow people to cooperate on quests, if you see someone else on your quest, group up with them to complete it.

6) Run instances minimally – While instances are fun, and provide good gear and items, they tend to be time consuming in the long run, while you’re looking for members, going to the instance and waiting for everyone to arrive, you could have gained a lot of xp. If you’re in bad need of gear upgrades, run an instance or two, otherwise, try to avoid them.

7) Turn on the quick quest text option – Look for the instant quest text option in the option menu and toggle it on. If you’ve played the game before, chances are you know all or most the quests already, and don’t need to spend the extra minute or waiting for the text to finish popping up.

8) Minimize travel time – If there’s a quest you need to turn in at a specific city, consider it’s importance relative to your overall XP/hour, if you can turn it in later, wait, if not, try to turn in multiple quests there at the same time.

9) Use combos to quickly kill mobs – When grinding it can be tempting to put your character on auto-attack, and then rinse and repeat, however, to be time efficient it’s best to test your character’s abilities and find out what combination can bring down a mob the fastest, even a second or two off the top can mean thousands more xp/hour.

10) Ask for help – If you can’t figure out what to do, don’t be afraid to ask for help, consider joining a guild or asking someone more knowledgeable with the game for help, however, politeness is key, since some people rather not be bothered, it’s best to ask generally rather than messaging random people.
